Historically, friends of the West Virginia Land Trust gather in Charleston for our annual Special Places Celebration, to celebrate the land we love and those who have made significant contributions to land conservation. We are mixing things up this year and invite you to visit a property this fall to get a firsthand view of what you’ve helped to create! Please join us for a walk in the woods!
We currently have 20 properties which are designated to be nature preserves and we are working hard to open them to the public. Access, parking, signage, and trail work are all underway. (So far, eight WVLT projects are already open for visitors.)
Friday, October 1 – Toms Run Preserve (Morgantown) at 4:00 P.M.
Saturday, October 9 – Wallace Hartman Nature Preserve (Charleston) at 3:00 P.M.
Saturday, October 16 – Yellow Creek Natural Area (Davis) at 2:00 P.M.
