As part of our hiking series, WVLT is partnering with local animal shelters to get adoptable dogs out of the shelter for the day in hopes to they find their furrrever home! The local shelter will bring adoptable dogs to the preserve for hikers to walk. If they fall in love, they can adopt. If not, the dog had the opportunity to go on a fun walk.

Event timeline:
- 1:00 PM: Meet at the Humane Society of Raleigh County to meet your furry friend for the day
- 1:30 PM: Head to Piney Creek Preserve to take a walk
- 3:00 PM: Pup cups will be served!
- 4:00 PM: Take your furry friend back to the Humane Society
While there is no fee to participate, registration is required for planning purposes. GPS links and more details will be shared upon registration We will also contact you with last minute details and changes.
