Ann is the Director of Resource Rural, a national initiative to mobilize resources to enable rural and tribal communities to access public and private capital to advance community development. Ann is passionate about partnering with rural people and organizations to advance their goals. She has helped rural organizations access federal and philanthropic funding, develop policy proposals, and expand their impact. She has led multiple efforts to design, implement, and scale new programs at the national level, both in the nonprofit sector and the federal government. Ann is from Elkins, WV where she experienced the great privilege of growing up in the mountains near the Monongahela National Forest. She currently lives with her family in Kensington, MD where she is an active volunteer in her community and serves on the Town Council. She is a Truman Scholar and has a B.A. in cultural anthropology from Wellesley College and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
