Kyra Nadzady is the Outreach Coordinator for West Virginia Land Trust serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA through Conservation Legacy. She will be working to expand conservation education, fostering a greater appreciation for the benefits of outdoor engagement, and enhancing community well-being by connecting people with nature.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Kyra moved to the mountain state in 2020 to attend West Virginia University. She graduated with a B.S. in Journalism majoring in Sports & Adventure Media with a minor in Recreation, Parks, & Tourism Resources. During her time in college, she worked with Adventure West Virginia as a Challenge Course Guide and a Media Coordinator, gaining experience from both a marketing and recreational standpoint.
In her free time, Kyra participates in friendly pickleball matches and bouldering sessions with members from her small church group hosted through Mountain Heights Church. On her own, she enjoys drawing, singing, crocheting, cooking, and playing video games. In addition, Kyra is also in the process of training and raising her nearly 1-year old puppy, Sofie, a timid little girl who loves to tackle toys and make fluffy nests out of blankets.
