Why Land Conservation?
Did you know that over 5,000 acres of land is lost to development everyday in the United States? When land is lost, it is lost forever. Land conservation maintains the quality of life that attracts businesses and tourists to West Virginia, making land conservation important to not only our health but also our economy.

Ensuring that our natural areas are preserved is critical to:
•  the quality of the air we breathe,
•  the water we drink, and
•  the food we eat.
